Refunds, Cancellations & Disputes
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Purpose
This policy explains how cancellations, service problems and disputes are handled through Perth Leaflet Distribution.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Before a booking is accepted
An Advertiser may generally withdraw an enquiry before it has been accepted unless they have separately ordered design, printing or another service that has already commenced.
3. After acceptance
Once a booking has been accepted, cancellation may affect another participant who has reserved time, advertising space or capacity.
Any applicable cancellation charge will be disclosed through the booking process or agreed before the booking is confirmed.
We will not impose a cancellation charge where doing so would be contrary to Australian Consumer Law.
4. Host cancellation
If a Host cannot provide a confirmed advertising space, the Host should notify the Advertiser promptly.
Depending on the circumstances, the Advertiser may be offered:
- alternative dates;
- another suitable space;
- account credit; or
- a refund of the affected service.
5. Distributor cancellation
If a Distributor cannot complete an accepted job, they must notify the relevant parties as soon as reasonably possible.
The marketplace may attempt to find another Distributor.
6. Service not provided
If a paid service is not supplied, the appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
This may include re-performance, replacement service, credit or refund.
7. Partial performance
Where only part of an agreed service was provided, the parties should first attempt to agree on an appropriate remedy reflecting the extent and value of the service actually supplied and applicable legal rights.
8. Printing and custom work
Design and printing services may involve customised goods or work undertaken specifically for an Advertiser.
Cancellation after design work has commenced or printing has been ordered may therefore involve charges for work already properly performed or committed, subject to applicable law.
9. Advertising performance
A campaign is not normally eligible for a refund solely because it did not generate a desired number of leads, sales or enquiries where the agreed advertising service itself was properly provided.
10. How to raise a dispute
Users should contact Perth Leaflet Distribution and provide:
- booking or job details;
- an explanation of the problem;
- relevant messages;
- photographs where applicable;
- delivery or display evidence; and
- the resolution being requested.
11. Review process
We may request information from both parties.
Where we facilitate payment, we may temporarily delay release of disputed funds where reasonably necessary while the matter is reviewed.
We will endeavour to handle disputes fairly and within a reasonable period.
12. Chargebacks
Users should contact us about a disputed transaction before initiating a payment chargeback where reasonably practicable.
Fraudulent or knowingly false chargeback claims may result in account restrictions.
This does not prevent a cardholder from exercising legitimate rights through their financial institution.
13. Australian Consumer Law
This policy operates alongside the Australian Consumer Law.
Where the law entitles a consumer to a remedy, these marketplace policies do not override that entitlement.
